U-Line® Under Counter Refrigeration Products
Since the 1960’s, U-Line Corporation is the market leader in quality, built-in under counter refrigeration products. The history of U-Line starts in the mid-1930s when Herman Uihlein, Henry Uihlein, Sr.'s father, began a tradition in refrigeration by designing and manufacturing the first farm and home chest freezer in the United States while serving as President of the family owned Quick Frez Refrigeration Company.

In late 1945, Henry Uihlein, Sr. was elected President of Ben-Hur Freezer Company, a sister company of Quick Frez. In 1962, Henry founded U-Line Corporation as an outgrowth of Ben-Hur and went to work manufacturing and marketing the first stand-alone residential automatic icemaker. His foresight and determination to develop new ideas and to succeed when there were no clear guidelines or solutions are evident today. The third and fourth generations of this family owned and operated business provide the continuity and vision from which new innovations in the built-in under counter ice making and refrigeration market are born.
Today, U-line offers two product series under each product categories: The Échelon Series and The Origins Series.
The Échelon Series transcends the boundaries of function and elevates these distinctive appliances to the level of art. Flowing contours and seamless styling enhance the appearance, creating a uniquely sophisticated and contemporary look. The Échelon Series establishes a dynamic new standard in undercounter ice making and refrigeration. Offering unparalleled choice, the line combines new technologies and inspired designs with all the superior benefits that are U-Line signatures.
For over a decade, the models comprising the U-Line Origins Series have defined undercounter refrigeration and ice making. Sophisticated international styling, superior features, and reliability continue to set these quality products apart as they complete the broad U-Line offering.
